2006 Week 16 Report

Congratulations to the 2006 Super Bowl champions: P.O.B.'s Pounders !

Super Bowl Final Score:    P.O.B.'s Pounders 91, The Fat Bus 58

Back-to-back titles for the Pounders! Well done by this franchise who has emerged as one of the top teams in the league. The Fat Bus, despite making it all the way to the title game had a dismal 2006 playoff performance. They did post a nice Round One score, thanks to Drew Brees' career day, but then only managed 78 and 58 points in their next two games. The 58 points scored in the Super Bowl represents an all-time league low in postseason competition. Ouch.

This is what the final playoff bracket looks like:

For next year: The 2007 draft will be held on Wednesday evening, the night before the first NFL game of the season. We voted on that! We also voted to increase league fees to $200 per team and to revoke the rule that makes transaction fee money to be spent on the draft night prizes. That transaction fee money will now be used to subsidize the web-based fantasy service we will be subscribing too. Since we voted on using a third-party web program, this will be the last week I ever have to compile the stats manually! Kick ass, for me. I have been doing these reports by hand for almost a decade and I've grown tired of doing the grunt work.
