2005 Week 4 Report

So much for the Lip Conference being considered the weaker of the two divisions! In five interleague games this week, the Lips swept their Hair Conference counterparts and did so in impressive fashion. Obviously, there was no movement in the divisional standings. This week we saw Receiver U. lose their first game of 2005 while The Fat Bus finally earned their first victory. Hurray for the Bus! After four weeks, only P.O.B.'s Pounders remains undefeated, and only The Running Monks remain winless.

Here are the full results for Week Four:

P.O.B.'s Pounders (4-0) defeated The Running Monks (0-4), 100-85. These are definitely two teams going in opposite directions. The Monks receivers are quite possibly the worst in the history of this league. During this past week, the Monks earned only 13 points from their four receivers combined. That's really sad. After squeaking by the first two weeks this year, the Pounders are starting to post some nice scores. They are in a very nice position four weeks into the season.

Who-Dey Delight (3-1) defeated Jo-Boo's Browns Backers (1-3), 84-72. I shouldn't have to say this, since you all probably have figured it out by now, but whoever plays Murph each week has a pretty good chance to win even if their team does poorly. How many lottery picks does Jo-Boo need before the rebuilding takes shape?

The Steins (2-2) defeated Orange Julius (2-2), 108-74. Manning was overdue to go off. And in Week Four, he did just that. Historically, The Steins seem to have Orange Julius' number in the regular season (these two teams have never faced each other in the playoffs) and this week was no different.

Cinnamon Roll Nation (2-2) defeated Receiver U. (3-1), 98-88. The Nation survived Monday night without getting the chisel. It's been a long time since I've been able to say that. But, yes, they actually didn't get beat in the last game of the week, even though this one was setup perfectly for the MNC. Receiver U.'s wideouts came back down to earth this week and, in particular, Steve Smith let down the team by only mustering a single fantasy point on Monday night.

The Fat Bus (1-3) defeated E-Z Money (2-2), 110-91. The Bus is back. Two weeks in a row they have posted solid scores, but this week it was good enough to get the win. E-Z Money is once again finding out that things in the fantasy football world do not come E-Z for them.

Taunt you later,

The Commish
