2005 Week 13 Report
The regular season is over and now the real season
begins. It's Playoff Time! Receiver U. is eager to defend their back-to-back
titles and believes they can pull off an unbelievable threepeat. Five other
teams have other plans. Of the six playoff teams, only one franchise (P.O.B.'s
Pounders) has never won a Super Bowl ring. The others are all past champions!
For the regular season, The Lip Conference dominated
the Hair Conference this year in both points scored and the interleague
series - which they won 15-10. Both conferences qualified 3 playoff teams.
Of the six teams still alive, five of them have already earned a cash prize
in 2005. While just one lottery team earned a cash prize this season. E-Z
Money was the #2 scoring team on the year, but their 5-7-1 record was not
good enough to earn them a postseason appearance.
Before we take a look at next week's playoff
games, here are the final results for Week Thirteen:
|
Cinnamon Roll Nation (6-7)
defeated The Running Monks (3-9-1),
101-48.
Jo-Boo's Browns Backers (6-7)
defeated Receiver U. (9-4),
115-77.
E-Z Money (5-7-1)
defeated Orange Julius (6-7),
83-82.
The Steins (8-5)
defeated Who-Dey Delight (9-4),
89-84.
The Fat Bus (3-10)
defeated P.O.B.'s Pounders (9-4),
86-81.

P.O.B.'s Pounders - Lip Conference champion
($50) and best overall record ($75). They are the #1 seed in the playoffs
and get a first round bye.
Receiver U. - Hair Conference champion,
2nd best overall record, and 3rd most overall points. 2005 prize money
for the franchise is $150. As the #2 seed, they will also get a bye during
the first round.
Who-Dey Delight - Lip Conference runner-up
and 3rd best overall record. They also had the most overall points bringing
their 2005 prize total to $250.
The Steins - They are the #4 seed and
scored the 4th most overall points ($25).
Jo-Boo's Browns Backers - They are the
#5 seed and win the Hair Conference runner-up ($25) due to a tiebreaker.
Orange Julius - They are the #6 seed for
the second year in a row..
|
The Fat Bus - Draft pick #1 next year.
This is their second 10th place finish in a row.
The Running Monks - Draft pick #2 next
year. Their 2005 schedule was the most difficult in league history, as
their opponents averaged nearly 98 points per game.
E-Z Money - Draft pick #3 next year, despite
being the second highest scoring team during the regular season. This 8th
place finish gives them their fourth lottery pick in the last five years
(and sixth lottery pick in the last nine seasons).
Cinnamon Roll Nation - Draft pick #4 next
year, they failed to make the playoffs despite being the fifth highest
scoring team and tying for the fifth best overall record. For the second
straight season, the tiebreaker is sending them to the lottery.

That's it for the regular season, so the rosters
of teams that did not make the playoffs are now frozen until next year's
draft. Good luck to those teams that are still alive!
