2005 Week 10 Report

We're now officially down to crunch time! We have played ten weeks and the playoff picture is not very clear. Only one team has been mathematically eliminated (The Fat Bus) so the next three weeks should be huge to just about everyone.

Here are the results for Week Ten:

The Steins (6-4) defeated The Running Monks (3-7), 107-74. The Monks amazing run at turning their season around slammed into the Berlin Wall this week. The Steins had a solid production day from all of their skill positions as they look to clinch a playoff spot. After a slow start, The Steins are actually in the hunt for not only their confernece championship but the overall points race as well. The Monks are still a dangerous team with their quality running backs, but their role down the stretch might be that of a spoiler - and not a contender.

Orange Julius (5-5) defeated Jo-Boo's Browns Backers (5-5), 63-61. Wow. It doesn't get any uglier than this. The two lowest scores of the week were between these two teams desperately fighting for a playoff berth. It was an important conference win for Orange Julius, especially considering their lineup troubles. With injuries, and the resulting effects, they are finding productive players very hard to come by and have been using waiver wire rejects to fill their starting lineup each week. The Backers are the lowest scoring team in the league. Howver, they hold the tiebreaker over several teams "on the bubble" and might sneak into the playoffs anyway.

E-Z Money (3-7) defeated Receiver U. (8-2), 127-86. This might be a case of too little, too late. E-Z Money looks strong now that they have Eli Manning at QB and stars Tiki Barber and Shaun Alexander at RB. But they have 7 losses and would need to win their final three games of the year to even have a shot at the playoffs. Receiver U. loses this week, but still will win the Hair Conference championship.

Who-Dey Delight (7-3) defeated The Fat Bus (1-9), 107-93. The Bus is lottery bound once again. Most likely they will get the #1 pick in the draft next year, which will be two years in a row they hold the top pick.Congratulations are in order! Who-Dey is just glad they came away with a win this week as they look to be this year's Lip Conference champion.

Cinnamon Roll Nation (5-5) defeated P.O.B.'s Pounders (7-3), 98-69. The Nation is on a roll! After starting the season 2-5, they have come back to win 3 in a row and jump right back into the playoff race. Never count a good team out!

There are only 3 weeks left, ladies. Time to bring your A game.
