WEEK ELEVEN REPORT
Only two weeks are left in the regular season
before we start the playoffs! As you all know, only six teams qualify for
the postseason and after Week Eleven there are only seven teams still in
the hunt. The three teams that have been mathematically eliminated are:
The Savants,
Corey Dillon The Ball Carrier,
and Gimme The Damn Ball!
Only two teams have clinched a playoff berth: Pooh
Bott Helmets and Boston
Stranglers.
That means five teams are fighting it out
for the remaining four spots. They are: The
Green Party, Bullseye,
TD Taunters,
Karen's Komets,
and Dawson's Crizzzy.
Oddly, there is just one head-to-head game involving these five teams and
that is next week when The Green Party battles Dawson's Crizzzy. So it
should be fun to see next year's lottery teams try to chisel their brothers
out of a playoff spot... and both conference championships are still up
for grabs! But before we outline each team's postseason chances, here are
the final results for Week Eleven:
|
Corey Dillon The Ball Carrier (3-8)
defeated Boston Stranglers (7-4),
89-76
TD Taunters (6-5)
defeated The Green Party (6-4-1)
, 102-80
Dawson's Crizzzy
(5-6) defeated The Savants
(3-8), 108-83
Pooh Bott Helmets (8-3)
defeated Gimme The Damn Ball!
(4-7), 104-85
Karen's Komets (6-4-1)
defeated Bullseye
(6-5), 112-100
|
Notable blunders from Week Eleven:
* The TD Taunters strangely enough started
a 3rd down RB (Kevin Faulk) who managed to return a kickoff for a touchdown,
but gained zero fantasy points for the Taunters.
* Boston Stranglers failed to beat league
doormat Corey Dillon The Ball Carrier, giving them their first win in the
last nine weeks.
* The Green Party watched former starting
WR Hines Ward torch them for 31 points, while the three players they
traded for (in exchange for Ward) only contributed 8 points to their Week
Eleven score.
Alright, here's how the playoff race is shaping
up...

* Provided
that Karen's Komets do not outscore The Green Party by a combined 62 points
in the final two games.
It should be a great ending to the regular
season, especially considering the major injuries in the NFL. The injuries
to starting QBs McNabb, Maddox, and Griese will not only affect the fantasy
teams who own them, but will also impact most of the offenses of the NFL
teams they play for. Good luck to you all.
