WEEK ELEVEN REPORT

Eleven weeks down, two more regular season games to go! Currently, three teams have been eliminated from the playoffs while two others have clinched a berth. That leaves five teams fighting for four postseason spots. Looking at the schedule, it appears that Week Twelve might not have much of an impact on the playoff picture -- which would mean it will all boil down to the final regular season games. Before we outline each team's postseason chances, here are the final results for Week Eleven:

Bullseye (9-2) defeated PTP: Peyton's Trailerpark Posse! (6-4-1), 104-66.
Corey Dillon The Ball Carrier (6-5) defeated The Savants (5-6), 101-93.
NGL© (7-3-1) defeated Dippity-Doo (6-5), 100-88.
Eighty-Eight, Late! (6-5) defeated Marshall's Maulers (2-8-1), 105-84.
The Fruit Baskets (3-7-1) defeated Jo-Boo's Browns Backers (3-8), 89-88.

In case you missed it, there was a pretty good football game last night. And there was a pretty good chisel as well. Trailing by 14 points to The Fruit Baskets after Sunday, Jo-Boo's Browns Backers had both WR Isaac Bruce and K Martin Gramatica active on Monday night. By halftime, the Browns Backers had cut their opponent's lead to 3 points. But that's when it all started to come crashing down on them. Bruce didn't catch a pass in the 2nd half of the game - despite needing only 2 more receiving yards to get another point. Gramatica was limited to 3 extra points, as his team decided to not kick a field goal on 4th down and short late in the game. In fact, Tampa Bay's late-game decision making was some of the poorest I have ever witnessed. Leading by a touchdown in the final minutes of the contest, Tampa decided to air the ball out in a situation that clearly called for a conservative running play (and subsequent field goal). The decision cost Jo-Boo, as the pass was intercepted and the Browns Backers outside chances at making the playoffs were crushed.

* There are many possibilities for the three 6-5 teams to either make or not make the playoffs. As such, I only listed the most obvious.

Also, keep in mind that this year we eliminated the automatic playoff bid for conference runner-up teams. As always, when applying the tiebreaker rules to determine playoff berths (and possibly the conference champion and/or runner-up) and the tiebreaker rules do not clearly identify final regular season positions when applied in the traditional manner (examining only two teams at a time), then the tiebreaker criteria will be applied to all relative teams simultaneously. In the event multiple teams are tied at the end of the regular season, a team that finishes tied AND finishes as conference champion will automatically receive a playoff berth. In other words, conference championships supercede tiebreaker rules.

That's it for this week...
