WEEK FOURTEEN REPORT

4th and Joey, NGL© set a new overall points record as they routed Jo-Boo's Browns Backers by a final score of 155-80. In the only other first round playoff game, The Fat Bus defeated PPP: Gorilla Patch Junkies by a final score of 125-97.

This week's high scoring winning teams contrasts greatly from last year's playoffs, as the 1997 postseason games were low scoring. 4th and Joey's record 155 point outburst included only 6 points from RB Priest Holmes and 7 points from H-back Frank Wycheck. The bulk of the total came from 5 different players who all scored at least 20 points. This was the first ever playoff game for 4th and Joey, and it was quite an impressive way to enter the postseason. Their opponent, the Browns Backers, had a combined 4 points from their running backs! Maybe their owner knew something we didn't before this game, as he was quoted as saying: My team is haariable. Young and Emmitt are collecting Soc. Security, All my receivers are stiffs, including, the "franchise" Herman Moore. My best player is Vanderjagt and I'm not even playing him this week!!! Well, Jo-Boo, you won't be playing him until next fall. With the loss, the Backers' franchise is now 0-2 lifetime in the playoffs.

The Fat Bus only received 8 points from their QB Kordell Stewart, but managed to score 47 combined running back points and 81 combined wide receiver points. They could have beaten the Browns Backers this week by only starting their 4 wideouts! Unfortunately for the Junkies, they were the ones scheduled to play the Bus, who improved their lifetime playoff record to 2-1.

Here is the second round playoff schedule:

4th and Joey, NGL© vs. the Murph Killers
These two teams have been red hot as of late, and if the Murph Killers would have had to of played their regular starting lineup this week, they would have scored 154 points. They would have lost to 4th and Joey by 1 point! As it is, they earned the bye in the first round by winning the Lip Conference. One of these teams, or both, will have to cool off this week.

The Fat Bus vs. P.O. Steve
P.O. Steve is 2-0 lifetime against The Fat Bus, but has never won a playoff game. The Bus has been rolling as of late, averaging over 112 points in their last 4 games. Neither team has ever played in the Super Bowl game, so this year we will have new blood in the championship game.

Good luck to all teams playing this week...except The Fat Bus!
