WEEK TWELVE REPORT

After Week 12, our playoff picture is clear! T.T.M.F. Little Johnny's late run at clinching a playoff spot is over. And with Jo-Boo's Browns Backers clinching the Hair Conference Runner-Up position, we are left with three teams fighting for two Wild Card playoff berths!

Scott's "All They Know How To Do Is Score" Savants (5-6-1), PPP: Gorilla Patch Junkies (5-6-1), and 4th and Joey, NGL© (6-6) will fight it out in Week 13 to determine which two teams advance to the postseason. Since none of these three teams play each other next week, the following playoff scenario exists:

Scott's "All They Know How To Do Is Score" Savants will get into the playoffs if they defeat Jo-Boo's Browns Backers next week or if PPP: Gorilla Patch Junkies loses their final game against Up Your Butt Jo-Boo (because of the tiebreaker).

PPP: Gorilla Patch Junkies must win their game next week against Up Your Butt Jo-Boo and have either Scott's "All They Know How To Do Is Score" Savants or 4th and Joey, NGL© lose next week if they are to qualify for a Wild Card berth.

4th and Joey, NGL© will get into the playoffs if they defeat Rais'n the Rueff next week or if PPP: Gorilla Patch Junkies loses their final game against Up Your Butt Jo-Boo or if Scott's "All They Know How To Do Is Score" Savants loses their final game Jo-Boo's Browns Backers.

If any of the games involving the Savants, the Junkies, or 4th and Joey ends in a tie - then it gets a bit more complicated.

Here how this week's games turned out:

4th and Joey, NGL© (6-6) defeated Scott's "All They Know How To Do Is Score" Savants (5-6-1) by the score of 95-87. 4th and Joey is now in the driver's seat in the race for one of the final two Wild Card spots. The Savants could have won this game had they played a number of different players on their roster - like Dilfer, Westbrook, or Jefferson. Too bad for them.

Rais'n the Rueff (3-9) defeated Up Your Butt Jo-Boo (3-9) by the score of 96-77. These two teams are now tied for last in the league, so their final games in Week 13 will determine who gets next year's #1 pick in the draft.

Jo-Boo's Browns Backers (7-4-1) defeated T.T.M.F. Little Johnny (4-8) by the score of 104-71. The loss knocks the defending Super Bowl champion Johnnies out of the postseason race. And if Rais'n the Rueff and Up Your Butt Jo-Boo end up with ties in their games next week, the Johnnies could finish last overall.

P.O. Steve (9-3) defeated PPP: Gorilla Patch Junkies (5-6-1) by the score of 92-84. The win clinches the Hair Conference championship for P.O. Steve while the loss pushes the Junkies into a must-win situation next week. Good luck to the Junkies!

The Murph Killers (9-3) defeated The Fat Bus (7-4-1) by the score of 135-94. This record-breaking scoring outburst by the Murph Killers clinches the Lip Conference championship, while the Bus has locked up the Lip Conference Runner-Up position.

Now, here is a preview of Week 13's games - the last matchups of our regular season:

P.O. Steve (9-3) vs. Murph Killers (9-3)
This battle of conference champions will determine who is the #1 seed in the playoffs and who will be the #2 seed. Also, the winner of this game will win the $50 best overall record prize. And finally, since this is the last interleague matchup of the year, and the Hair Conference only leads the Lip Conference 12-11-1, the winner of this game will claim the interleague prize for every team in their conference ($5 per team).

Scott's...Savants (5-6-1) vs. Jo-Boo's Browns Backers (7-4-1)
This game is extremely important in determining which of the three eligible teams claims the two remaining Wild Card playoff berths. The Savants are in if they win, or if the Junkies lose their game. The Browns Backers are playing to determine if they are the #3 or #4 playoff seed. They also are in the middle of the overall points chase, and could take either a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th most overall points prize.

Up Your Butt Jo-Boo (3-9) vs. PPP: Gorilla Patch Junkies (5-6-1)
The Junkies must win this game and have either the Savants or 4th and Joey lose their game. Up Your Butt is simply playing to not end up with the dreaded "worst record" in the league, which ironically was held by the Junkies last year.

T.T.M.F. Little Johnny (4-8) vs. The Fat Bus (7-4-1)
The Johnnies are playing for nothing, except possibly an outside chance to win an overall points prize. The Bus is playing to determine if they are the #3 or #4 playoff seed, and they also are in the middle of the overall points chase, and could take either a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th most overall points prize.

Rais'n the Rueff (3-9) vs. 4th and Joey, NGL© (6-6)
4th and Joey can make the playoffs by winning this game or having either the Savants or the Junkies lose their game.  They also are in the middle of the overall points chase, and could take either a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th most overall points prize. Rais'n Rueff, like Up Your Butt, is playing to not end up with the dreaded "worst record" in the league.

Good luck to all of you this week.
